Privacy
Last updated 28 August 2026. This page explains what Investor Explorer collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
What we collect
If you only read. No account is needed to browse the course or use the tools. With your consent we record anonymous usage statistics — see Analytics below. Without that consent, reading leaves nothing behind but ordinary server logs.
If you create an account. Your email address and login credentials, held by our authentication provider. We also store your plan tier and how many analyses you have run, which is what enforces the limits on each plan.
When you run an analysis. We save the ticker you looked at, the resulting figures and signals, and the date, so your history is there when you come back. You can delete any entry from your account.
Cookies
Essential. If you log in, a session cookie keeps you logged in. The site cannot offer accounts without it, so it is not optional and needs no consent.
Analytics. Google Analytics sets cookies to tell repeat visits from new ones. In the EEA and the UK these are off until you accept them. Elsewhere they start on, and stop the moment you decline.
You can change your mind at any time — reopens the choice, and declining stops the cookies being set from that point on.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages get read. It tells us how many people arrive, which chapters hold attention, and roughly where in the world readers are. We do not use it for advertising, and advertising storage is denied outright in our configuration.
Where consent is required by law — the EEA and the UK — analytics storage defaults to denied and is enabled only if you accept. Elsewhere it starts enabled and you can switch it off at any time, which takes effect from the moment you do. This uses Google Consent Mode. Google processes the data as our processor and may transfer it outside the EEA under its standard contractual clauses.
Who else processes your data
- Vercel — hosting. Serves every page and keeps short-lived request logs.
- Supabase — accounts, plan tiers, and saved analysis history.
- Google (Gemini API) — generates the written analysis. It receives the financial figures for the company being analysed, not your identity.
- Google Analytics — usage statistics, subject to the choice described above.
Market data comes from Equibles and SEC filings. Those are sources we read from, not parties we send your data to.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.
Why we are allowed to hold it
Account and analysis data is processed to provide the service you asked for — the contract between us. Analytics cookies rest on your consent, which is why they are off until you give it and why you can withdraw it as easily as you gave it.
How long we keep it
Account data stays until you delete your account. Analysis history stays until you delete it or the account. Google Analytics data is retained for the period configured on the property, after which Google deletes it.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA or the UK you can ask us for a copy of your data, for corrections, for deletion, or for us to stop a particular use. You can also complain to your national data protection authority — in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.
To exercise any of these, write to chatexplore@investorexplorer.com.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or why, we will update the date at the top and, where the change requires it, ask for your consent again.
