About Me
The idea for Investor Explorer came from reading The Little Book That Beats the Market, where Joel Greenblatt lays out the core ideas behind investing in a genuinely simple way. I think the fundamentals of investing really are simple — what's hard to find is a place that teaches them properly and lets you apply them in a way that's cheap and easy. That's what I'm trying to illustrate here, interactively: real information and education you can actually put to use, instead of something locked behind a paywall or buried in jargon.
Background
I'm Sebastián Gerard Aguilar Kleimann, an actuary by training (UNAM), certified in Financial Mathematics by the Society of Actuaries, with a Master's in International Business from the University of Pavia. My career has run through data, machine learning, risk, and investing — and outside of work, I've spent years investing and reading about it, which is really where this site started.
Why this matters here
Every tool on this site — earnings yield, return on capital, the Acquirer's Multiple, the FS-Score, and the DCF — is computed from real company filings, not estimated or hand-waved. As an actuary, I care more that the numbers are right than that they look impressive. The AI layer explains and judges those figures; it never invents them.
I'm based in Barcelona and work in Spanish, English, and Italian.
Reach out
I'd genuinely like to hear from you — whether that's a question about a chapter, a company you think deserves a look, feedback on one of the tools, or a bug you ran into.
